ST.R5M - Sensor head remote connection up to 5 meters for SMART3G series - Sensitron

This option allows to have a remote sensor head for SMART3G gas detectors, with a maximum distance of 5 m.
The possibility to have a remote sensor head can be particularly useful when the gas detector should be installed in places difficult to reach to perform the periodical maintenance.

This option is only available when purchasing new gas detectors. Please specify when ordering.

The ST.R5M kit includes:
Flameproof enclosure with the gas detector main board;
2 ATEX cable glands;
Remote head, composed by a flameproof enclosure with interface board and a stainless steel sensor head.

Cable to be used, not supplied with the kit, must have following characteristics:
Suitable for application in explosive atmosphere environment, as indicated in standard CEI EN 60079-14:2015 §9.3:
Shielded, 4 x 2 conductors, each conductor having a 0,5 mm2 section;
Maximum length 5m.
Cable shield must be connected to ground at both sides;
